1. Shea butter and coconut oil

Shea butter is extracted fat from the African shea tree nut. It is used in several beauty products such as cosmetics and lotion due to its moisturizing abilities.

Coconut oil, on the other hand, is extracted fat from raw coconuts or dried coconut flakes. It contains linoleic acid (Vitamin F) that helps retain your skin's moisture, and lauric acid, a lipid that has antibacterial properties.

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon shea butter
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon of lukewarm water

Preparation:
Melt the shea butter in lukewarm water and add the coconut oil. Mix well and apply a thin layer of the mixture on your face before bedtime.

2. Aloe vera and honey

Aloe Vera is more popularly used as a natural hair conditioner; however, it can be beneficial for the skin too.

It has Vitamins A and C, antioxidants, minerals, and amino acids, which help soothe burns, reduce acne, boost healing of wounds, lighten blemishes and moisturize skin.

Honey, the other ingredient in this face mask, is known to have anti-bacterial and anti-septic properties. It acts as a pore cleanser that also helps your skin absorb and retain moisture.

Ingredients:
1 piece of aloe vera
1 tablespoon of honey

Preparation:
Extract the aloe vera gel from the leaf and mix it with honey in a blender. Put the mixture in your face for 20 minutes, then remove with lukewarm water first and then with cold water afterwards.

Lemon is a perfect ingredient to pair with avocado for your face mask since it has strong antibacterial properties. It's rich in Vitamin C and citric acid, which can help brighten and lighten your skin.

Ingredients:
½ avocado
½ lemon

Preparation:
Mix the avocado and lemon together in a blender. Apply the mixture on your face for 25 minutes. And just like with the honey and aloe vera mask, wash it off first with lukewarm water, followed by cold water.
